Neighborhood Networks are community based organizations whose membership is composed of local emergency food providers, social service agencies, politicians and other concerned individuals. These groups work together to accomplish the common goal of reducing hunger in their neighborhoods. Past projects include everything from compiling and printing neighborhood resource guides called Street Sheets; setting up community supported agriculture programs; and organizing protests to publicly oppose policies that increase hunger. Neighborhood Networks generally meet at least once every month and are always looking for ways to improve access to food in their communities.

NYCCAH currently sponsors nine Neighborhood Networks that are currently facilitated by AmeriCorps*VISTAs. The ultimate goal of these organizations is for them to function independently of VISTA and NYCCAH assistance.
